Dallin

Sweet, little Dallin was born October 13 at 3:30. He was 8 lbs and 19 inches long. Labor went well, my water broke at 6:45 that morning while I was blow drying Jaye's hair. We took our time getting to the hospital because I wasn't having any contractions. Marilyn took the kids all day! She was such a huge help! The Dr. ended up giving me pitocin to get my contractions started, shortly after, Dallin was here with just a few pushes.
Ally and Conner constantly maul him. They just love him so much and that is the only way they know how to show him! Luckily it doesn't seem to bother Dallin :)

Jaye Lee is such a good help with him. She is calm and gentle around him. She loves to read and sing to him!

A night in Vegas!

Jared wanted to surprise me with a quick get-a-way to Vegas before I had the baby. We got on a plane around 4 and were in Vegas not even 2 hours later! We ate at Olives in the Bellagio and had dessert at Serendipity (both were delicious). We had time to walk around a few casinos then got back on board to head home. Being 36 weeks pregnant, I was a little nervous about going into labor, but Jared was confident he could deliver the baby...I am so glad that didn't happen!

Conner is going to the Imagination Station Preschool and loves it! His teacher is Miss Shannon, she is so good with the kids. Conner has made lots of friends and enjoys learning. When Jaye Lee brings her homework home, Conner has me copy it so he can do it too! He is a smart little guy!!

I can't believe Jaye is in 1st grade! She has team teachers Mrs. Meacham and Mrs. Reed (they are amazing). She loves eating in the cafeteria, playing on the big play ground and learning. She is a very good student!

Silly Ally

Ally is a funny little girl! She makes us laugh all the time! She is definitely a night owl...it takes her forever to fall asleep at night. She reads books, plays with her dolls, plays dress ups, basically anything she can do to not go to sleep. This is how we found her one night after she had fallen asleep!

Jaye Lee's 1st Major Hair Cut

Right before school started Jaye Lee told me she wanted to cut all her hair off...I was really hoping that she would forget about it because I loved her long hair. It didn't even take one day before she had convinced me to make her an appointment. She got right in and cut 15 inches off! She looks so darling with short hair and she loves it!

We went with some friends to their cabin in Fairview. It was such a nice get-a-away before the baby came. One of the nights, we went to Fairview for ice cream and to see the Smurfs at a drive-in movie. The kids all had so much fun!

St. George Trip

All the girls in my family took a weekend to go visit Elizabeth in St. George. It was such a nice getaway! We went for a run Saturday morning (we all tried to talk Mar out of it, but she said this was her only chance to be faster than Cynth since she is 36 weeks pregnant...I still think Cynth beat her!). We shopped the rest of the day, made jewelry, did our nails, massages, and just did girly stuff! On Saturday afternoon Elizabeth took us to this cute little cafe called 25 Main. It was so delicious!

Dani bought us all matching shirts that day...Thanks Dani!

We all had so much fun together even if I can't say I came back rested...my roommate (Mar) would not stop talking all night...I still really like her though!!

Martin's Cove Trek

Jared and I had the opportunity to go on trek with the youth to Martin's Cove. We were the Ma and Pa for our family of 8 kids! My mom has always had a special place in her heart for the pioneers and has taught us many of her favorite stories. It was fun to learn more about them! Here are a few pictures of our family!

Disneyland!!

A few months ago we took a family vacation to California! We had so much fun! We stayed with James and Christy (they live 5 minutes from the beach!). We went to Six flags, Disneyland and the beach! The amusement parks were not crowded at all so we picked a great time to go! While we were there, Jared and I celebrated out 6 year anniversary!

Mickey Mouse!! Ally was terrified of all the characters so I didn't get any pictures of her with any of them!

Conner was so fearless! He went on every roller coaster he could and never got scared. At Six Flags, he was so disappointed that he couldn't go on the adult rides!

Vegas

Jared and I decided take a quick trip to Vegas for a weekend in March. We left Sunday and stayed the night in St. George with my sister. I was very spoiled getting to hold her baby Eva all that I wanted until we left on Monday! If any baby were going to make me "baby hungry" it would definitely be her! Anyway, we got to Vegas on Monday, checked in to our hotel and spent the day walking the strip and going into all the different casinos.

Tuesday, we spent the entire day shopping! It was great! Normally I don't love shopping, but it was so relaxing with no kids, I actually enjoyed it! That night we went to see "Ka" by Cirque Du Soleil. Amazing!

Wednesday, we met up with Jared's friend Don. He's in Vegas quite regularly for his dad's show "Donny and Marie" at the Flamingo Hotel. We rode go-carts, had dinner, and went to the show that night. After their show, we headed to Fremont Street. It was amazing! None of our pictures did it justice.

We were headed up to Donny's room and there were so many card board pictures of he and Marie, so Jared had to stop and take pictures at most of them. He was pretty excited to show Donny.

We had such a great trip! I fully intended on running while we were there...I didn't. We did eat at a buffet every night, so I had to do plenty of running when I got home to lose extra lbs!

Brent's Mission Call

I can't believe that Beaner (my baby brother) is old enough the serve a mission! My family all met at our house on Thursday night to be together when he opened his call. He was wanting to go foreign so he was so excited when he found out he will be serving in Lisbon, Portugal! He leaves June 16! My parents have a lot to get ready for since they are picking up Richard from his mission in Brazil in April! They are going to be busy getting everything ready but are so excited for their missionaries! I am a horrible sister and didn't get any pictures but I wanted to post this exciting news!!

Christmas Morning

The kids were so excited for Christmas! We opened pajamas on Christmas eve and the kids went to bed pretty early to let Santa come do his job! They were very good kids this year and got exactly what was on their letter for Santa (except for the DS Jaye Lee wanted. I told him she was a little too young for it! Maybe when she is older!)

I couldn't believe how fast this room got destroyed! We tried to have them take turns opening presents so they could all see what each other got but it was a wreck by the end of the morning!

Christmas with the Losee Family

We had Christmas dinner at Dusty and Mar's house this year. We always have so much fun when we all get together. It was good to talk to Richard, who is serving his mission in Brazil. The time has gone by so fast...he will be home in just a few months! We surprised my parents with tickets to go pick him up! They were so excited! Neither of them have ever been out of the country, so it should be interesting! Anyway, we had an amazing dinner, shared Christmas memories, and opened more presents!

One of the favorite presents among all the kids were towels (you will see them in about every picture!)

Every year, we get together with Jared's family for Christmas brunch, but I forgot my camera, so I don't have any pictures to share. James and Christy were here for the Holiday season, so we had a lot of family get togethers while they were here (rock climbing, basketball, movies, dinners, and lots of games!)

Weekend Getaway!

The weekend before Christmas, we went to Tyson and Ceri's cabin in Mt. Pleasant. We went with the Gillen, Jackson and the Curtis families. It was so nice to get a way from the craziness of the Holidays and enjoy a weekend!

St. George Marathon

I had never had the desire to run a marathon until some girls in my neighborhood/ward were training for a Ragnar Relay Race. My family and I were going to be out of town during the race, so I couldn't participate. I ran with them in their training for the Ragnar and became pretty good friends with all of them. Some of the girls and I decided to register for the marathon, honestly not expecting to get in. When Ceri and I got in...I was shocked! We were both pretty nervous because neither of us had ever run over 6 miles! We had so much fun training together and became such good friends. We had lots of really early mornings, late nights, and runs we never thought we were capable of. When the marathon came, neither of us knew what to expect.
This was at 4:00 in the morning right before loading on the bus.

We finished!! Both of us were able to accomplish the goals we set! My goal was to qualify for the Boston Marathon (3:40) and I finished in 3:36...barely making my goal :)
My husband was such a good support. He was always willing to watch the kids and came to all the races that I competed in during my training. He never complained about all the time/money it took for me to run the marathon. I am so lucky to have him!

Neighborhood Campout

A few months ago, some friends from our neighborhood decided to go camping down in Mt. Pleasant. It was so fun! Good food, good company, beautiful scenery...couldn't ask for more!

Rainbow Lake

Every year, my dad goes back packing to Rainbow Lake in the Uintas (its about a 15 mile hike). Growing up, it was one of my favorite trips. Ever since I graduated, I haven't been back until now! My mom came and stayed at our house to watch the kids and Jared and I took off!

This is how we slept the first night. It was SO cold. I ended up climbing in Jared's sleeping bag with him...and I was still cold. When we woke up, there was a thick frost all over us!

My sweet husband carried me across this river so I wouldn't have to take my shoes off and get cold! We almost fell :)

This is one of the highlights for Jared...the whole trip he was looking for wildlife, he was quite disappointed until we saw these 2 moose. He got as close as he could and took so many pictures!

Tree House Museum - Ogden

When we were in Ogden at the Dinosaur Park, we decided to take the kids to the Tree House museum. I couldn't believe how many activities there were for the kids...they loved it!

Jaye Lee turned 4 on July 22! I can't believe how fast she has grown up. She is such a good helper in our home. She is sweet and sassy and I love her so much! For her birthday we just had some of the kids in our neighborhood over for ice cream and let them run through the sprinklers.

Yellowstone

Kevin and Dani did such a great job planning our family vacation this year. We went to Yellowstone and stayed in beautiful cabins with the whole family. They had everything scheduled so perfectly! We had such a great time sight seeing, hiking, eating, playing games and enjoying each others company. Thanks for putting it together!!

Yellowstone - A few animals we saw...

Jared got so close to this grizzly bear just to get a good picture...I was not a happy wife! He had chased after a black bear the day before to get a picture, but was unsuccessful, so he just couldn't pass up the opportunity!

We are not quite sure what this was, but it was fun to see!
This buffalo was HUGE! My brother-in-law, Dusty got an awesome picture with it, but you will have to check our Mar's blog to see it.

Trip to Grandma Jane's

My kids love going to see Grandma Jane. She has a fun swingset, a merry-go-round, lots of porcelin things for them to break and even a farm!! We enjoyed the beautiful weather (for a day). The kids loved seeing Grandma.

It is hard to believe that one year has already gone by! Ally is such a special baby. I was so nervous to have 3 kids but she has made life so much easier. I know that is hard to believe, but it is so true. She has made our lives so much happier and we can't imagine what we did before she came into our family. We love you Ally!

We were able to take the kids to the Draper Temple Openhouse. It was such a fun experience. They loved the bus ride up to the Temple from the church, the baptismal font and the murals on the wall in the ordinance rooms. It is a beautiful Temple. It will be nice to have another Temple just right around the corner!

James and Chritsy's Wedding

We had such a fun weekend celebrating James and Christy's wedding. They were married on Valentines Day (it was so cold) in the Salt Lake Temple. Elder Scott sealed them together and the counsel he gave them was amazing. It was exciting to be in the presence of an Apostle! The spirit was so strong and only got stronger as they bore their testimonies at the luncheon.

Christy, we are so happy that James found you. I never thought he would find someone who fit him like a glove. You two are so missionary minded and are going to do amazing things together. Welcome to the family!

Grandpa Losee really is a true hero. We have been able to visit him a few times this last month and we have loved learning about the amazing life he has lived. He was a nose gunner for the B-24s in World War 2 (occasionally he would even dropped the bombs). They completed 31 missions...after 30 missions they could have gone home but were asked to do one more and they accepted. It is remarkable they successfully completed all 31 considering when they went out on a mission they had a 50% chance of returning. He had written some amazing stories of how faith and prayer saved his life many times. With out the Gospel, my family and I would not be here! We love you Grandpa!

It was amazing how well he still played his harmonica! The kids always love hearing him play.

Jared got a new gun and all Conner could say when he saw it was "Oh my goodness" over and over. All he wanted for Christmas was a BIG gun like dad's. Well bud, A Nerf will have to do for now!

Fun at Classic Skating!

I never realized how many fun things there were at Classic Skating. My kids would have slept there if the workers wouldn't have kicked us out! (although that wouldn't have been so bad on the bouncy slides!)

Any time we all go out as a family, Jaye Lee always thinks we are having Family Home Evening. No matter what day it is, if she has fun with the family...it's FHE! She has great ideas for FHE everyday! Classic Skating is now one of those ideas!

Jaye Lee and Conner would have played in the snow all day, everyday if I would have let them. They had so much fun making snowmen, filling buckets, catching snow in their mouths, and freezing their little bums off. They always wanted hot chocolate with real marshmallows to warm them up when they were done. I miss being a kid!

Ally and I got to stay warm and shoot pics from the porch! She wanted to get down with the kids SO bad!
